The spotted trunkfish is a fish found on reefs in the Caribbean and the south western Atlantic Ocean. It has a white/yellowish body covered with black spots.
Its geographical distribution includes the Caribbean Sea, the southern half of the Gulf of Mexico, Ascension Island, and the northeastern coast of South America as far east as Brazil. The fish can be found at depths of about 300 meters/100 feet.
