Cheilodactylus variegatus is a species of ray-finned fish that lives in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. These fish can grow to a length of up to 40 cm, or 16 in, and a maximum recorded weight of 1 kg, or 2.2 lb. They are found in small schools amongst kelp forests off the western coast of South America.
