SS Papadiamandis is a former cargo carrier built in 1944 that went down in 1965 near SS Papadiamandis, Flores Island in the Azores. The ship lies in 12 meters/40 feet of water, which makes it accessible to divers of all levels. plus, there’s little to no current.
There’s lots of marine life around the shipwreck, including the resident moray eels and dusky groupers.
Best dived during the summer, from June to September, when the seas are calmer and the water is warmer.
