The Punta Venado dive site is situated off Playa del Carmen, Cozumel. This is the southernmost reef you can explore in the area and you can get there in about 15 minutes by boat.
This drift dive site with a sandy and rocky bottom has a depth of 20-35 meters and a visibility of over 30 meters. The current can get strong here.
This multilevel dive site is recommended for intermediate and experimented divers.
Punta Venado is abundant in corals with plenty of marine life: morays, parrotfish, triggerfish, cowfish, cofferfish, angelfish, nurse sharks, eagle rays, and turtles.
