The Lusong Gunboat is a popular spot for both divers and snorkelers. Located in Coron Bay, Palawan, this is a shallow site with a maximum depth of only 15 meters/50 feet.
The ship was one of the twelve WWII Japanese supply vessels that were hit by an airstrike while anchored in the bay.
The coral-encrusted wreck is 25 meters/80 feet long and has become home to a multitude of reef fish such as parrotfish and anemone fish, as well as cuttlefish and other creatures.
Diving in Palawan is possible all year round, with warm water throughout the seasons. The average visibility around the wreck is 15 meters/30 feet.
