Colombia Deep has a depth ranging from 18 meters to 27 meters, which deems it suitable for divers of at least intermediate level, preferably advanced.
The main feature of Colombia Deep and therefore its most recognizable one are the coral pinnacles which dominate the dive site. There are also caverns, caves and tunnels present here, covered in soft corals, sponges and gorgonians.
There is a wide diversity of marine life here typical for Cozumel and which includes grunts, snappers, groupers, damselfish, moray eels, occasional reef sharks, eagle rays, barracudas, jacks and parrotfish.
Water temperature is typical for the region, ranging from 23 degrees Centigrade to 27 degrees Centigrade, depending on the season.
