Dive Dojo was started in 2006 at Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera in the Philippines by Paul Russell, an Airline Captain presently flying Boeing 747’s internationally with over 20,000 logged hours on heavy jets and Efren ‘Ethei’ Robrigardo. The word “Dive Dojo” joins together two of Paul’s passions: diving and karate. A “Dojo” is a Japanese term, which literally means “place of the way”. It is a place or a meeting hall where martial arts is practiced at the highest level. The philosophy of Dive Dojo is therefore very simple; do something that you love and do it well!
