In the mid-1990s, several enthusiasts decided to create a club for diving. In the beginning, there was a group of people united by a common interest. However, the idea developed rapidly and quickly outgrew the scope of the usual hobby.
In 1997, a group of diving enthusiasts turned into an organization with the official name " Aqua-Don ". Its founder was Alexander Yarmysh, one of the first PADI instructors in Russia. He is one of the few divers in the country who personally knew the creator of this organization, John Cronin.
The diving center was established in Rostov-on-Don, which determined its name - "Aqua-Don". Short and capacious, over time it became widely known throughout the South of Russia.
The motto of the club - "Dive with the head" - fully reflects the attitude of its organizers to scuba diving. The creators of "Aqua-Don" are all the same enthusiasts that they were 20 years ago, they are absorbed in their favorite thing. The club every year brings together more and more people, helping many to discover the fascinating underwater world for the first time.
To date, more than 3,000 students have completed training at the Aqua-Don dive center. Qualified, experienced PADI instructors work in the club, which pay special attention to the competent training of clients. Their main priority remains the safety of their students. Now the club is headed by Igor Saveliev, instructor of PADI MSDT, he is a graduate of the very first set of students of "Aqua-Don".
