The narrow-barred Spanish mackerel is a pelagic fish found in Southeast Asia as well as the east coast of Africa, the northern coastal areas of the Indian Ocean, and the South West Pacific Ocean.
These large fish can grow to to about 200 cm in length and weigh up to 70 kg.
