The bluefin trevally is a species of marine fish in the jack family, Carangidae. It can be found throughout the tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. A strong predatory fish, it feeds on other fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans. The bluefin trevally can grow to a length of 117cm, but most are smaller. They inhabit reefs, lagoons, atolls, and bomboras, but some prefer shallower waters.
