Noms alternatifs : Pomoxis nigromaculatus
The black crappie is a freshwater fish with an uncertain range, although it is suspected to be native to the eastern United States and Canada. Black crappies are similar to white crappies but have a darker color with black spots, as opposed to the black stripes characteristic to white crappies. They are typically 10 to 20 cm (4 - 8 in) long.
