Sunboat is one of the best wrecks in Eilat. The 30-meter/100-foot-long ship was sunk on purpose in 2010 and stands erect on the sandy bottom at a depth of about 15 meters/50 feet with its bow facing north.
The wreck provides home for a variety of marine animals such as lionfish, crocodile fish, eels, sea turtles, sea urchins, and others.
September and October is the best time to visit Eilat if you want to avoid the crowds but still enjoy warm water. Nonetheless, diving is possible all year long.
