Pirapama is a wreck dive site consisting in the remains of a steamer that was sunk on purpose sometime in the early 1890s, a few years after colliding with the steamer Bahia.
Located between 19 and 23 meters deep/62 to 75 feet, the old remains can still be identified, despite having spent dozens of years underwater. It is one of the most dived wrecks in Brazil and you can also dive it at night.
Sharks, rays, sea turtles, and fish are often seen around the wreck.
