Mr. Bud is a wreck dive site located off the south coast of Roatan. The 22-meter-long/75-foot-long cargo ship was sunk on purpose in 1995 and now lies upright along the reef’s edge at a depth of about 18 meters/60 feet. The upper decks are located at just 13 meters/45 feet deep.
There are several entry points that certified wreck divers can use to get inside the ship.
Marine life includes species like jawfish, peacock flounders, sailfin blennies, moray eels, garden eels, along with many other sea creatures. The top of the reef features an abundance of soft corals with nudibranchs and seahorses living among them.
Mr. Bud wreck is accessible to all divers. Visibility is not the greatest.
