A beautiful and healthy coral garden, Koala has a depth going from 8 meters to 24 meters. The depth at Koala, in combination with the mild current make it an excellent dive spot even for beginner divers. Moreover, coming to the help of novice divers is a gentle slope, which starts at 9 meters.
The very good visibility at Koala, exceeding 10 meters, makes it for a truly great dive site for macro enthusiasts and underwater photographers. They can spot here both hard and soft corals, as well as numerous fish which live under boulders, such as boxfish, parrotfish, stonefish, angelfish, as well as other species such as groupers, snappers, rays, barracudas. Reef sharks are also an occasional presence here.
