HMS Maori is a former ship that served with the Mediterranean fleet until 1942, when it was sunk by a German bombardment.
The 35-meter-long wreck currently lies on a sandy bottom at 18 meters deep.
There are several large holes on the starboard side of HMS Maori, which allow divers to penetrate the wreck, but they require proper training for this and, in addition, the decades spent underwater have weakened the structure of the ship. Storms have also taken their toll on the physical integrity of the wreck.
Divers can observe here corals, seabreams and scorpionfish, among numerous other species.
