Dunraven

The Dunraven wreck is a former British steamer that sunk on the Beacon Rock reef in 1876, just three years after it was built. For this reason, it is also known as the Beacon Rock wreck. The ship sunk in 30 meters/100 feet of water and sits upside-down split into two sections.

Having been in the water for so long, the wreck is now covered with soft coral, stone coral, and visited by a variety of fish and other marine creatures. Some of the animals you may spot here include cardinalfish, soldierfish, pipefish, glassfish, scorpionfish, barracudas, batfish, sea turtles, and even dolphins if you’re really lucky.

There are several entry holes throughout the wreck which make penetration possible for wreck divers.

Diving is possible year-round. The water temperature ranges from 22° to 28° C/71°- 82° F.
