Calo d’en Monjo, which translates as Monk’s bay, is a small bay locked between two cliffs on the eastern side of Mallorca Island. It features a tunnel and a cave, both populated with marine life. The sea bottom is covered in rocks.
The most common sightings here are the conger eels, moray eels, cardinalfish, groupers, octopuses, seahorses, and nudibranchs.
Calo d’en Monjo has a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet and although it can receive some strong currents, it is considered suitable for divers of all levels.
The best diving conditions in this area are found from May to October when the water is warm (25° C/77° F) and visibility is outstanding.
