The longsnout boarfish is a species of marine ray-finned fish from the family Pentacerotidae. They are found along the southern coast of Australia including the island of Tasmania. The fish live at depths from 3 to 260 meters. They are carnivorous and eat mostly brown algae, brittle stars, and polychaete worms.
