The harbor seal is a species of true seal that can be found along temperate and Arctic waters of the Northern Hemisphere. They have brown, tan or grey colors, a V-shaped nostrils and rounded, spindle-shaped bodies.
The harbor seal is a curious but shy animal and prefers quiet, unpopulated places.
An interesting facts is that, unlike humans, the harbor seal breathes out before diving and they use the oxygen present in its blood and muscles while underwater.
