Turtle Cavern is a unique cave dive and one of the diving gems of Sipadan. The entrance to the cave is found at about 18 meters/60 feet. About 21 meters/69 feet into the cave, you enter the second chamber that features a tunnel that leads to another popular site – Turtle Tomb.
The cavern is famous not only for its impressive geological formations but also for the skeletons of turtles and dolphins that met their end in the darkness of the cave.
Turtle Cavern is only accessible to advanced divers with proper equipment. You don’t want to risk getting trapped in the cave like those poor turtles.
