Palancar Gardens is a great dive site for taking underwater photography, especially at the macro level.
It has a depth ranging from 9 meters to 24 meters and therefore it is accessible to novice divers as well.
Palancar Gardens houses a variety of soft and hard corals, sponges and gorgonians, which make perfect shelters for numerous species of reef fish, from damselfish, snappers, filefish and groupers to butterflyfish, angelfish, moray eels, grunts and parrotfish. Turtles can also be found here quite often.
This dive spot features numerous arches, caves and pinnacles which make for an altogether diverse and fascinating experience.
The water temperature is typical for the region, going from 23 degrees to 27 degrees according to the season.
