Jackson Reef is one of the famous Straits of Tiran reefs. Since it’s such a great dive, it tends to get packed, so come early.
The southern part of the reef is quite shallow and offers a wonderful display of soft corals and schools of reef fish. Its northern side has strong currents and you can spot the occasional grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, or even hammerheads.
Look out for the pods of spinner dolphins and Risso's dolphins that are often seen in this area.
With water temperatures ranging from 22° to 28°C/ 76°-82° F, you can dive here all year round. Visibility is outstanding, averaging 30 meters/100 feet.
