Gili Selang has a depth ranging from 5 meters to 15 meters; it thus may look extremely inviting to divers of all levels, but it actually features strong and unpredictable currents which make it suitable only for the more experienced diver.
The dive site has a pretty steep slope, and the visibility of at least 20 meters and sometimes reaching 30 meters make it a great place to observe numerous soft and hard corals, bommies, gorgonians and imposing barrel sponges, all of which are homes to moray eels, turtles, eagle rays, parrotfish, reef sharks, seahorses, Napoleon wrasse and barracudas.
The water temperature at Gili Selang varies between 20 and 30 degrees Centigrade.
