Fortunal is an old fishing boat that was returning to the port of Vis when it hit the island while running on autopilot. It sank immediately and now rests on the sandy bottom at 52 meters/170 feet. In the water since 1997, this is still a relatively young wreck, and its structure is not that damaged.
The wreck is filled with old fishing nets and lots of scorpionfish.
Despite its depth, Fortunal can be viewed by open water divers from a recreational diving depth.
