Located North of Georgetown, off the end of Seven Mile Beach, the Cemetery Beach Reef dive site is a wonderful option for those looking for an easy dive in a more secluded area. Although it is more popular among snorkelers than divers, it makes for a perfect night dive. The Cemetery Beach Reef is also perfect for macro photographers.
Blue-headed wrasses, spotted drum fish, blue tangs, angelfish, black durgeons, snappers, sergeant majors, moray eels, jacks, sea turtles, spiny lobsters, and stingrays – among other creatures - can be seen here. There are also many different species of brightly colored corals and sea fans. Because there is less boat traffic than in other areas of Grand Cayman, the corals here are also less damaged and healthier.
The Cemetery Beach Reef is easily accessible by boat from the Seven Mile Beach. The site has a depth of about 18 meters/60 feet and is suitable for divers of all levels. Visibility is moderate.
