Boka Slagbaai is the most southern dive site in Bonaire’s Washington Slagbaai National Park, a nature sanctuary located in the northwest part of the island. Depth ranges from 15 to 20 meters (50-6 feet). The shallows feature large coral formations and the sandy bottom is home to rays and garden eels.
There are two dive routs you can take and on both you will spot some ancient canons. However, those on the northern route are just props used for a movie.
Boka Slagbaai is known for its moderate to strong currents, which is why it is recommended for intermediate to experienced divers.
