Bathala Thila is a long but small thila (underwater mountain) with the top at about 10 meters/32 feet. It is located east of Bathala Island in the Baa Atoll and experiences some strong currents.
Divers will find an abundance of wildlife which includes reef sharks, nurse sharks, Napoleon wrasses, giant trevallies, fusiliers, anemones, leaf fish, shrimps, and nudibranchs.
The best season for diving in the Maldives is January to April when the conditions are at their best.
