Descripción
Diving holiday Lembeh Critter Hunt is situated in the middle of the Lembeh Strait on the southern side of the Sarena Island Group. A sandy slope goes down from a reeftop shallow at around 1-2 meters to about 20 meters from where it then slowly flattens out into a spongy rubble patch. The right and left side of the slope are margined with a reef going down and giving the divesite a natural limitation and good orientation during the dive. Characteristic for the sandy area of Critter Hunt is the yellowy colour of the sand and the relatively rough grains – an ideal habitat for wonderpus and blue ringed octopus! Beside these two signature creatures many different nudibranchs can be found here: Various Aeolid Nudibranchs, Hypselodoris, Chromodoris, Dotos and many others. Robust Ghostpipefishes, Ribbon Eels, Seamoths, Gobies and Painted Frogfish also inhabit the sandy area. In the Reefportion Giant Frogfish, Warty Frogfish, Hairy Shrimps and Severnsi Pygmy Seahorses can be found. The deeper Rubble Patch also offers very good Critter Opportunities with many different Nudibranches, Tiger Shrimps, Bigger Painted Frogfishes and maybe even Rhinopias.
