Descripción
Bommenede Werkhaven Oost is named after the village of Bommenede, that flooded in 1682. Diving to the remains of this village is officially prohibited because it is located in the boating channel. Bommenede Werkhaven Oost has a beautiful underwater world and is one of the few dive sites in Zeeland that's not separated from the water by a dike. Dive in this shallow and 'almost untouched' dive site, in search of oysters, sponges and other small marine life. Be careful! The boating channel lies close to the shore and there is a lot of pleasure boating. Don't make free ascents. Dive in the early morning before the boats sail out or in the fall, when it's all piece and quiet at this place. Particulars Enter Bommenede Werkhaven Oost at the right site of the marina. Then wade through the water to get to depth. Warnings Be carful! Boating channel close to shore. Avoid boating channel. Use a diving flag and a surface buoy. Bommenede Werkhaven Oost can be busy with pleasure boats and surfers. Diving in boating season is actually not recommended.
