Sabang Point in Puerto Galera is a nice dive site where you can find the tiny and adorable pygmy seahorses living in gorgonian fans. Ghost pipefish, sea turtles, anglerfish, triggerfish, pufferfish, and cuttlefish can also be seen here. It’s a great spot for those interested in underwater photography because of the interesting critters and fish that can be observed here.

The dive starts in shallow waters and you follow a colorful wall that leads to a fishbowl where reef currents meet the current flowing from the Bay. Below, another wall drops to a sandy area at a depth of about 22 meters/73 feet. This wall can be followed to a maximum depth of about 27 meters/88 feet.

Sabang Point dive site offers good visibility that exceeds 10 meters/33 feet and reaches up to 30 meters/100 feet. Access is done by boat and it’s only a 5-minute ride from the mainland. Great night dive.

The best diving conditions in Puerto Galera are usually from April to September. This is when the seas are at their calmest and you can enjoy the best visibility. During this time, the water temperature can reach 29° C/84° F. In December-January, the water temperature can drop to 22° C/72° F.
