Katza is a dive site in Eilat where you have about 90% chance of spotting dolphins. The spot was open in 2017 and became popular very quickly. The area is not closed off, so you can see the dolphins in the open sea.

The dolphins come here during feeding time, so you need to come at the right time. The best chance to see them is usually between 5:30 and 6:30 AM.

The maximum depth at Katza is 30 meters/100 feet, but you don’t need to go this deep to see the dolphins. You can usually spot them within open water diver limits. Plus, the dolphins swim to the surface of the water frequently.

You can dive in the Eilat area all year long. The high season is July to August.
